Gardeners Blackfriars is committed to providing gardening and grounds maintenance services in a manner that protects the health, safety, and welfare of our employees, contractors, clients, visitors, and members of the public. This Health and Safety policy sets out the framework we follow to reduce risks and promote safe working practices in all areas of our gardening operations.

Policy Statement and Objectives

Our objective is to prevent injury, ill health, and property damage arising from our work. We will identify hazards associated with gardening, landscaping, planting, lawn care, waste handling, and the use of powered and hand tools, and put in place appropriate control measures. Management Responsibilities

Management at Gardeners Blackfriars is responsible for implementing and maintaining this policy. This includes providing suitable resources, equipment, and supervision to ensure safe working conditions. Managers will ensure that risk assessments are carried out, safe systems of work are developed, and all staff understand their responsibilities. Management will review accident and incident reports, respond promptly to safety concerns, and take corrective action when required.

Employee Responsibilities

All employees and contractors working on behalf of Gardeners Blackfriars must take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions. They must follow all safety procedures, use equipment correctly, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and report hazards, near misses, and incidents without delay. Employees must not misuse or interfere with any safety equipment provided.

Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work
